Never really used samplers such as Kontakt 4, but just wondering with the sample packs such as "The Fat Juno 6" http://www.loopmasters.com/product/details/493/The_Fat_Juno_6 the only format is "Exs24 / Kontakt 3".  My question is with products such as these, are you able to use them with the Free Kontakt 4 Player?  I love the Juno 6 sound, unless my mate manages to pick one up I'll probably grab this one.  Anyone downloaded and used this?

Does that mean you need to purchase Logic or Kontakt 4 to be able to use the pack?

I wouldn't have thought so. You can normally open EXS24 presets with Sampler in Live - it just converts a new file when you first open it and puts it in the Sampler presets list, then you double click on the new file to open it....

I have the full version of Live 8, but didn't get Suite, which I now regret.  Bought it at discount price from having studied at SAE which I'm no longer a student.  Wait till I get a little more cash and will get onto it :) Thanks Rob!

Kontakt isn't necessary (although recommended as a sampler).  Ableton Live 8 will import EXS files into it's Sampler instrument. :)
